The loneliness and trauma of being facially deformed can be devastating particularly as many of the children afflicted with these deformities are of normal intellect.
The aim of the Jigsaw Foundation is to restore these children to the mainstream and allow them their rightful place in society. We can do this by funding research, education and training in the area of craniofacial surgery. This is achieved by supporting the wonderful Team in the Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne who have helped children from Australia and all over the world.
Craniofacial surgery is the specialty which deals with the diagnosis, management and treatment of major facial deformities usually resulting from birth abnormalities, trauma, or tumours. Craniofacial surgery provides a wonderful opportunity to improve the quality of life of each and every patient.
The Jigsaw Foundation was established in 1990 to promote charitable and private funding for research, education and training in the area of craniofacial surgery.
We are committed to changing children’s lives for the better. Please help us to continue to do this.
